Wow! What a great busy week. The best thing that happened was that Ron Koshorok (MI) landed the largest cod of the year so far. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. As usual he was kind enough to return his 37.5 pound Me. State trophy cod to the ocean unharmed shortly after Capt Whit took his picture. I'll post the picture next time as it's on Whit's camera, not mine. Here's a nice picture of his wife Marilyn with her 10 plus pounder caught on India's birthday yesterday.

On Thursday we lost our Cummin's supplied factory rebuilt fuel oil supply pump for the final time. Captain Whit was kind enough to ride out the 18 miles and give us a tow in with the new Gath IV (picture below). Little Dennis Keith, Nick, Eric, Christian and I worked late into the evening. With the help of Mark at Con El diesel (Portland) we were able to air freight and install a brand spanking new injector pump so that we didn't have to disappoint any of our guests by canceling any of this weekends trips. Thanks so much guys. I"m absolutely convinced that we have the best organization of any charter boat company plying New England waters.
Top of post is a nice picture of 9.75 year old Duncan Caring (VT) with his biggest cod of the day. Doesn't he look like my grandson Joey at his age. What a great fisherman and super kid, just having him aboard for the day made the whole week worthwhile. Inshore fishing for stripers remains remains strong tons of bait are in the area and our inshore kids are catching their fair share as well . I'll post more pic's as soon as I get a chance. This morning I noticed this nice shot of Bob Frechette (MA) a great friend and guest of over13 years with a original classic Gath III T, and our newest mate Nick with the new Gath IV "Catch the magic T".....
