What a week!

We sure are having fun on the boats. The weather continues to be the very best its been in many years and the fishing is about as good as it can get. We've enjoyed taking so many of our good friends that come with us every year. On Thursday we celebrated "Fred Burketts annual Memorial birthday trip. Pictured is Fred's daughter Jeanette (center) with Ms. Linda Paul (ME) left and my wife Gloria (right).Quite a fishing trio. We all had a wonderful and special day. Jeanette won the pool with a 20 plus pound pollock. Linda landed at least one triple keeper catch, and a video of Gloria with her double keeper catch can be seen on my facebook page. If you haven't checked out our facebook page, you really should you'll see the cool new videos I post every few days. I'm pretty sure you don't have to sign up or give any personal information to view the page. Just click on my "become a fan logo" on the left side of this blog.

I started an additional open boat trip this week at the request of a good friend. As of this morning there is still room for 3 guests on this Thursday's 10 hr offshore trip aboard India.

There's a video of twelve seconds of Ansel Quinton (VT) trying to tame a 300 plus pound shark on Tuesday's trip. Pictured top of post is John Hayes (NY), Tom Fox (VT), with a few of their nice fish, Greg Brown (VT) is on left doing his best to reel up and catch up with his buddies. A really great time was had by all.
Inshore Captain Whit and his illustrious crew are enjoying very good striper fishing. Whit's developed quite a compliment of great returning guests that love to fish with him every season. I often hear. "Gee Satch ,we really like to fish with you, but do you mind if we go with Whit just this one this time. Sure makes a dad proud!
Some of his returning families this week included The John Gralia's (MA), the O'Brien's (MA), the O' Malley's (VT). "Thanks for the special cigars Joe". and the O'Conners (VT). I don't know all the specifics, but I do know that quite a few nice stripers were landed on most every trip, and that most of them were too big to keep . Hopefully, Captain Whit or our guests will post some of their pictures on my facebook site as well.
Thanks so much to all our returning guests. Can't wait for the rest of you to arrive.. Best, Captain Satch
