Amber Lamb (NY) with her pool winning 15 pound Monkfish. Ambers family spent this week with us as they do every year. This year, Ambers oldest sister Tara brought both her children on a four hour inshore trip. I first met Tara when she was just eight years old herself. Her 3 year old daughter Terri is the spitting image of Tara, she had just as much fun as her Mama always has playing jokes on poor old Satchie. Little William was the yougest fishermen ever to board the Gath IV, he signed aboard and made his first trip at te ripe old age of eight months. As always the whole crew had a wonderful time with all the "little Lambs" .
Al Maynes grandson, 11 year old Caleb with a nice 8 pound pollock. It was Caleb's first day offshore aboard the "India Marie". He had a blast helping Keith work the deck, while playing tricks on all our other guests. His Grandpa Al is our longest running guest having sailed with Captain Bobby Coombs aboard the Gath III over twenty years ago. It's always a great honor to have him and his family aboard.
Bill Pohl (CT) shown with his double keeper pollock catch. These 13 and 15 pounders were caught on the same line at the same time. Bill is the loving husband of my childhood friend and neighbor Mary Bellow Pohl. We have been friend for over 53 years.. I guess time really does fly!
John Orosz (NY) has been bring his wonderful family for the last four years. It always a treat to have his lovely wife Maria' and children spend a few days with us. The weather was on our side this year so we took advantage and spent a few hours chasing giant blue fin offshore. John is shown with his "Maine State Trophy cusk". John's 16 pound cusk is the largest landed on India in over two years and probably the largest landed in Maine this year. Special thanks to all our special friends that stuck by us all these years, you mean a great deal to all our crew!
