Captain Whit asked me to post of few of these photo's taken of his guests on the Gath IV over the last few weeks. Pictured first is Aaron Mayden (Vt) On his maiden voyage aboard Gath, Aaron landed a matched pair of twenty five pound plus Maine State trophy stripers. This was the first time that one of Whit's guest s has boarded two trophies on a single four hour trip. Aaron was kind enough to release both these fish shortly after his pictures were taken. Hopefully these photo's will entice George to come out of his Florida retirement community to wet a line in Maine.
Daryl Anderson (MA) and his 8 Year old daughter Deanna pose with her first striper. Deanna also landed a 20 inch cod fish which she happy released released.
Steve Anderson (NH) "No Relation to Daryl...I don't believe" helps his friend Steve Schronberg (FL) hold up his 52 pound Maine State Trophy striper. Steve's fish was the largest striper we've ever landed on any of our boats. Steve was foresighted enough to release his fish shorly after this picture was taken Female stripers of this size produce over 3 million eggs each season. It's folks like Steve that insure that our grandchildren will be able to enjoy this sport as much as we do. The Steve's have been a loyal guests of the Ole' Gath magic for over thirteen years. Frank Fazio (NH)another good friend of many years, brought his family on their annual trip aboard the Gath IV yesterday with Captain Whit. A great time was had by all Frank is pictured below with his pool winning striper.We'll have to ask Whit how big it really was but I know he knocked his son in law out of first place just a few moments before the bell rang to leave for home.
